Hello Lvert62,

It sounds like dashes are automatically added when entering your social security number on a website, and you would like to know how to prevent this from happening. We'd like to help you out with this.

First check to see if this is happening due to a Text Replacement. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. If you see one there for your social security number, swipe left on it to remove it. If your social wasn't listed there, go back to Settings > General > Keyboard, and disable Auto-Correction and Smart Punctuation to see if one of those settings is causing dashes to be added.

If you continue to experience the same thing, it could just be due to the website itself and how it's formatted for mobile devices. It may be best to complete the task on a computer or other device.
