MacBook Air overheating from SD Card

I have a MacBook Air 2017 model (A1466) and when I insert my 128GB SD Card, my mac reaches temperatures from 94˚c to 104˚c. When the SD Card is not inserted the temperatures sit below 65˚C. My SD Card is always inserted on my mac and I do not pull it out much. My last MacBook Air did not have this problem and I am wondering if it is normal for this model?
