How can I pause while recording a video on iPhone 11 Pro?

I do not see the option to pause a video recording on my iPhone 11 Pro. I was making a video of birthday celebration in the family. While doing so there was a slight interruption and I wanted to pause the recording to resume later momentarily but I realised that there was no pause button. Why is that?
