Hi all, I've updated my iPhone X to iOS 13.6 and the touch screen is now unresponsive. A restart has not resolved this issue and I can't unlock with FaceID due to restarting the device. TIA

You could very well be right about the hardware. You try putting the phone into recovery mode and see if you can restore it. If not, then a trip to an Apple Store or an AASP will be in order.

Try a forced restart.
Quickly press and release the volume up button
Quickly press and release the volume down button
Hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen, then let go of the button and let the phone boot up.
Thanks Demo, I've restored from recovery mode and the phone is now working fine. Baffling as I can't pinpoint whether it is a hardware or software fault. I'll avoid updating to 13.6 for now. Thanks again for your help!

I’m glad to hear that it’s working now. When you get the opportunity, you should probably take it to an Apple Store and ask them to evaluate it for hardware issues.
