Subtitles on a rental movie - Apple TV app

Hello,

Yesterday we decided to rent a movie through Apple TV app.

We have been watching the Bourne movies on Netflix but the latest (2016) isn’t on there - so we found it in the TV app.

The purchase is smooth and it all works fine - the movie begins - but the subtitles doesn’t work.

I try to change it from the in-app menu - no subtitle work.

I go into Setting, change subtitle option there, turn on the option in accessibility section.

I reboot the device.

I update the device.

And I repeate everything again, except the update part.

Searched the internet and read about some movie files without subtitle tracks etc.

Anyone knows whats going on?

Thanks in advance!

You can contact the iTunes store staff, and ask them to check on it, if there is a problem with this rental, or if the issue is on your end.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, everything is in order. That is what makes me so frustrated. I double checked everything though and like I said, it is in order. Region, ID, included subtitles, language etc.

I think it is something on the server side. The post about a faulty movie file with no track/markers for the subtitle sounds legit? I believe I tried everything I possibly can do by myself. Except resetting the device. Or ask for a refund, which I rather not.

Any other ideas?
