Delete photos from iCloud but keep them in iPhone

Hey I want to delete photos from iCloud but I want to keep them in iPhone.

I turned off iCloud Photos uploading.

What exactly’s going to happen when I click in settings Manage storage > Disable&Delete.

It says that I have 30 days to download them but I have already have them in iPhone. Are they going to be deleted from my iPhone if I click Disable&Delete?

Thank you

Hey I want to delete photos from iCloud but I want to keep them in iPhone.

These would be the steps to follow.

You are turning off the iCloud sync portion. The steps are about downloading from iCloud to a Mac/PC.

As noted, if you have optimized your phone's library, you MAY not have the full sized originals on your phone, They are only on iCloud in this scenario.

Were you using optimize?

Hi, I have only one device. I don’t use optimize. I have 256GB storage on my iPhone so I have in settings Download and Keep Originals. So now In iCloud settings in manage storage when I click Disable&Delete it says that I have 30 days to download my photos. When I have them already in my phone they’re not gonna be deleted aren’t they?

Thank you!

So again... "have them on my phone" is a variable.

If they are the full sized photos on your phone, you should be fine. They are the full sized if you don't see a cloud icon next them and any videos are available right away without downloading. Keep originals is checked.

Wanting to be cautious because you can lose photos if your settings aren't set correctly.
