I’m running Apple 4th generation on latest tvOs update 13.4.8. When viewing aerial screensaver, tapping the remote tracking pad does not display the location info. This started a couple of updates ago and is very frustrating. Is there a way to reset it?

Tap the center of the touch surface lightly, without clicking.
Verify if the remote is still connected, by trying other buttons (e.g. Menu).
I can’t replicate your issue. It works fine on my Apple TV 4K on the same software version.
I am experiencing the same problem. Usually have video set on 1080p SDR. One day all screensavers were gone and location info no longer shows when tapping touch pad. If however I change to one of the 4K video formats the one screensaver available does show location info again. What format you on?
Been searching everywhere for solution as also don’t want to go through whole re-setup process.
Unfortunately it doesn't work, the remote is working perfectly, I can swipe left and right between the different screensavers, but the location info refuses to pop up as it used to. A complete reset will probably fix it, but I don't want to go through the hassle to reinstalling all the apps again.
I have the same issue for a few releases. Still waiting for a solution.
