downgrade to Mojave blocked

I bought a MacBook Pro in Nov 2019. It came with Mojave, and last week I updated to Catalina. Since some of my programs didn't work, I decided to return to Mojave original system. So I followed the specifications here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1599/mac#:~:text=Reinstall%20your%20computer's%20original%20version,available%20updates%20to%20that%20version.

I followed all steps, but then my computer got stuck: I see a black screen with the apple and progress (in zero) appearing every X seconds. Nothing else happens, I think it's stuck. No progress appears!!

It does not even turn off when I press the touch Id button.

Can you please help? I'm becoming really desperate!!

Thanks

Force your Mac to shut down by pressing and holding its Touch ID button until it shuts down: Log out, sleep, restart, or shut down your Mac. That takes about six seconds.

Then, boot macOS Recovery again, and completely erase the disk according to How to erase a disk for Mac. You will be following the first set of instructions—those under How to erase your disk.

Then, reinstall the originally installed macOS version like you did before. That should work.

You should already be aware that the above will erase everything on the Mac. That's the only way to revert to its originally installed operating system.
