Call forwarding spinning wheel

I am not getting incoming calls. They go straight to voicemail. Every once in a while I also have issues with outgoing calls, but only a particular number. I have played with all the settings including airplane mode, do not disturb, blocked contacts, etc. However my “Call forwarding” setting just shows a spinning wheel. My carrier, Boost Mobile, doesn’t know what the issue is. There don’t seem to be answers on the Apple forums despite several people reporting the problem. What’s the point of a $1000 phone that can’t receive calls???? Has anyone had this problem and resolved it?

Hi there ambria193,

Thank you for choosing Apple Support Communities!

It sounds as though you’re not able to receive incoming calls, and you’re seeing that the Call Forwarding setting is showing a spinning wheel and is not able to be toggled On/Off.

You’re in the right place, we’d be glad to assist in seeking a solution.

Lets verify all software is up to date and that any updated carrier bundles are installed. Below are resources that can help:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

If all software and carrier settings are up to date, let’s use these steps to check if there are any Call Blocking or Identification apps:

  • Tap Settings>Phone>Call Blocking & Identification. This setting only appears if one of those apps are installed.

If there are apps listed on this settings page, try to disable the apps features within the app first, and then uninstall or disable the app in Settings>Phone>Call Blocking and Identification.

We hope this helps,

Cheers!
