Find my

Can someone please explain what this means. I received an email that said Find My was disabled on my device and the following applied: in addition, your Apple ID and password will no longer be required for someone to erase, reactivate, and use your iPhone.

Thanks for the help in advance

Have you checked Settings/Your Name/iCloud to make sure Find My Phone is on? Did you just turn Find My Phone off? With Find My Phone off, your Apple ID isn't required for someone else to use your phone.
