“Find My” Disabled

Dear Apple,

Did you really send this email? I got it around the same time I got scammed, which was a couple of hours ago. According to settings, “Find My” is still completely active on my phone.

FYI: These are user-only forums. You are not speaking to Apple. if you need to speak with Apple Support, then contact product and tech support:  ➔ Contacting Apple for support and service including international calling numbers.

The Answer to your Question:

You are right. You had a scam email and Apple did not write that email to you. The scammer was attempting to lead you to a fake website so that you can input your Apple ID and Password. Glad you caught it.

This is not Apple, this is a user-to-user forum. If Find My has been disabled on your phone you would get a message like this, but messages are easy to fake.

To check go to https://icloud.com/find and log in with your Apple ID and password. If you don’t see the phone it has been removed from your account.

How were you scammed? If someone has your Apple ID and password they could disable Find My. Have you changed your Apple ID password if your account was hacked?
