Additional updates

Recently I ran EtreCheck app on my Mac and it showed that I have to install some additional updates (Security update and Safari update). Catalina update is also available but I don't want to install it since I've downgraded back to Mojave a while ago.

So, is it possible to install additional updates without getting my macOS updated? Speaking precisely, if I press "update now" in additional updates' tab, will it also update my macOS to Catalina?

I just applied the additional security update for macOS 10.14.6, and Safari 13.1.2 updates on Mojave 10.14.6 without incurring the installation of Catalina 10.15.6. Once the dust settles, the Software Update panel will just show a Catalina 10.15.6 update available.

Go to the >App Store and see what those updates are— should not be an issue.

You can always pick and choose and ignore what does not suit you.
