Experimental WebKit features

What’s the skinny on leaving default Experimental WebKit features turned on? I am using Safari on iPad OS 13.6

Should I turn on HTTPS upgrade if any need to be on at all ?I never test beta programs.

Thanks for any/all informative replies.

The default WebKit settings are generally the most appropriate for maximum compatibility with the majority of websites. Whilst it is perhaps counter intuitive, disabling some items in the settings list is the non-standard setting!

Unless you understand what you’re doing, or you given explicit instruction by Apple Support to change any of these settings, you would be best advised to retain the default settings.

If you do decide to experiment, it would be advisable to screenshot settings prior to changing them - as you will then be able to return to the default settings should you need to do so. Without keeping record of these default settings (which often change between releases of iOS/iPadOS), there is no mechanism provided with which to restore these settings to their defaults - other than to complete a full reset of all iPad settings.

I hope this information and guidance is helpful to you.
