MacOS 10.15.5 Update won't install on MacBook Pro

I've been trying to install the macOS Catalina 10.15.5 and every time, it goes into the black screen with the update progress like usual and then when the update is finished, it restarts and says updates could not install. I have 50GB of space left on my Mac so that's not an issue. What am I doing wrong?

As mentioned always best to be connected via cable rather than trying WiFi for downloads from Apple.

Catalina is now at 10.15.6, if you want to install that you can download the standalone

Combo update from here,

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2048?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Once downloaded double-click to install.

Always make a full back up before updating your mac.
