When trying to find where to update apps manually, there is no pending updates in my profile on the app store, it doesn't show anything at all. When looking at all my friends iphone 11 it's there but not for me.

We understand you do not see any available updates for apps.
Can we ask, do you see a difference in version numbers for the apps on other devices?
If you have automatic updates enabled, you will not see updates available as these occur in the background. You can learn more here: Update apps or use automatic downloads.
