My mac is getting painfully slower booting up. Has been slow connecting to internet for a while now. and getting slower.
I posted a etrecheck report on another post...but it didnt give enough detail why its slow.. any ideas what I can do now? BRUTAL!!

Run it a second time to ensure the malware it discovered was definitely quarantined.
Ok, so what can be done?...where do I find out which issues I am being affected by?!?
defiantly not lack of space.
How do I check for unnecessary apps loading?
what would be incorrect in settings?...is there away to check how setting should be set?

I believe you are offered a 14 day free trial of the more powerful version which reverts to the basic version if you don't choose pay to upgrade.
It took 2 mins to boot-up computer...when I tried to boot in safe mode...holding down SHIFT when hearing start sound, the screen stays dark but I can see my mouse arrow...does not boot at all in safe mode..unless safe mode is just a black screen.
im guessing Malwarebyte is safe to run on my mac?
I did run the First Aid on Disk Utility ...went quick.

There are many reasons for a Mac computer to run slow.
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
Reboot holding down Command-R on startup; this should take you to recovery mode.
Select Disk Utility and run First Aid on your internal drive; you may have disk corruption which can be fixed with First Aid.
Start by running the free version of Malwarebytes.
