iMessage & FaceTime
Do you have to have an iPhone to use iMessage or FaceTime on your MacBook? I keep getting error messages for iMessage and No reachable addresses for FaceTime. I have an android phone.

I found that I don't need an iPhone. And I have searched and read every article that leads back to the same page of hints to fix it. Nothing is working. I've checked and unchecked the time and date, checked for outages, rebooted in safe mode and still nothing has fixed the problem.
