Slow iPad 7th Generation Wifi

My new iPad 7th generation has much slower wifi performance than my 2+ year old iPad mini 4th generation. Wifi seems to freeze sometimes and sometimes requires reloading page. Configuration same as for mini so has nothing to do with wifi router or service. New iPad behaves similar to when you use a vpn - much slower page loads and occasional page hang ups, but I am not using a vpn and same pages load with no problem on my identically configured mini when side by side. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Try resetting iPad's network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.

Thank you for suggestion, but it did not help. Wifi is still slow and browser pages often hang or slow to load. I tried different browsers without any luck. I made all setting exactly the same as my mini 4, and the new iPad 7th gen is the only device with issues. Getting excellent wifi signal and speed test on both devices showing over 100 Mbps download and over 20Mbps upload speeds over multiple tests though the iPad 7th gen often showed download speeds 20% less. In any event, wifi speed more than enough that web pages should not take over 10 seconds to load. Anything else you might suggest?

Just to cover other possibilities,

Try a simple reset of your home wifi network MODEM/router by un-plugging it from power for 15-20 seconds, or so, then re-plug into power and let the MODEM/router re-cycle itself.
