auto capitalize

Despite enabling the auto capitalize in the preferences this feature is not working with notes mail and textedit while it is normally functioning in pages and Microsoft word.

Notes and auto capitalisation I’m using the native app Note and I've noticed that it doesn’t auto capitalise letter at the start of the sentence. I've set it up in the keyboard setting though. I’m using a MacBook Air M1 and its keyboard and it is running macOS Monterey 12.5. Actually, it is the same story while wring on this website. It was working fine with the last macOS iteration though... thanks for the feedback in advance:)

Autocorrect won't capitalize words on MacBook Pro Enabling Correct Spelling Automatically or Capitalize words automatically doesn't work. Although I have enabled "Correct Spelling Automatically" and "Capitalize Words Automatically" in the system settings on my Macbook Pro, nevertheless, in the application 'Notes' neither of these functions are working on my Macbook Pro 16 with touchbar (Venutra 13.2). It works on my iPad. It works on my iPhone. It does not work on my Macbook Pro when using Notes. Strangely, it does work when I use Pages on my Macbook Pro. But not when I use Notes. Can't adjust capitalization settings I'm trying to adjust a large numbers document so everything is the same type of capitalization (first letter of every word). This is what I am seeing and I don't know how to get it where it is able to be edited. As you can see, there is no way for me to click on the capitalization drop-down. Thanks in advance.

Some apps have their own settings as well as the system wide settings so check those specific app's Preferences for options like this.

Works in Notes, Mail and TextEdit for me in Catalina 10.15.6. Try restarting your Mac.

Restarted, even checked unchecked many time the auto correct in the preferences.

Create a new user and see if it works while logged into it.
