Is there a way to change the layout of my Mac email?

I need to change the layout of my Apple mail. Cannot seem to find a way. Neither is the option given anymore to return to the classic layout? If you can help me or point me to a reasonable email reader that I can control, it would be appreciated.

Mac Mail em window default size problem Ok... I must be missing something here... every time i write a new email or reply to an email, I have to increase the window size so I can see something more than the heading fields... Why can't I change the default window size in mac mail? ...So that every time I begin a new message or reply to a message, the window appears in a size that I desire?

Mail. New mailbox layout is really annoying. Can I change it back? I am using Mail on OS11.6 (I can't update any more until Adobe updates a couple of apps to match MacOS). Recently Mail reorganised the lefthand mailbox column. It used to be that I had all inboxes at the top then Sent and then other automatic folders etc If I selected "All inboxes" I saw all incoming mail. Now the lefthand column is listed by account, each one having its own inbox, sent, trash etc. It's really counter intuitive and cumbersome to work with. Checking the mail now involves rooting around to look at each individual inbox. Can I change it back? Did I inadvertently change this or does Apple now think this is the way forward?

There are options in the View menu.

You can turn on column layout, but it isn't very similar to classic layout.
