Hello, my iPhone was nearly at full capacity and was getting a bit slow so I restarted it. It then got stuck, and only showed the apple logo. I called Apple and was told that I should try to update it using iTunes. Error 14 keeps on coming up (presumbly because I do not have any further storage for the update) and my phone is now not working. Is there anybody else in the same boat? Thanks.

if you click on the '14' or scroll down to Check your USB connections
They basically recommend trying another USB cable and an alternate USB port.. then maybe a different computer

They said they couldn't do anything over the phone and the Apple chap I spoke to said that he has had a few other people ringing up saying the same thing. He said that he could only advise to restore through iTunes. Failing that, reset to factory settings but I really don't want to go for that option and lose all of my data.

That’s exactly why regular backups are so important. Hardware does fail - when you least expect it.

The last step in the article suggests contacting Apple Support. What did they recommend?
Do you know if there is anyway to get out of exit recovery mode?
Understood. I just didn't realise that by restarting my phone, it would be game over.
