How do I correct text number for Apple Pay verification when bank has the correct text number but Apple Pay insists the bank has the incorrect number.

Go to settings>wallet & Apple Pay>transaction defaults - make sure number there is correct.
When you go to settings>Apple ID (your name at the top)>Name, phone number>what number is listed there?

The number in the wallet is correct. Any further ideas? I am stumped. My bank account has the correct number, Apple has the correct number, and Apple Pay wallet has the correct number. When I try to add a new card, they try to send verification request to a different number.
Suggestions?
Everything is correct for my name, email, and phone number. My number ends in 0822, they are trying to send a verification text to a number ending in 7773.
My bank has my correct mobile number but Apple pay is sending text to wrong number.
