Auto night shift

Has anyone had the issue of the display suddenly changing from warm to cool and back and forth while using a 2020 MacBook Pro 13 inch? It’s happened both on and off battery power.

Night shift is not working I noticed that the screen on my $4700 MacBook Pro has a yellow tint. I remember I turned off night shift, but went to check it and found that it does not work at all. Whatever option I choose - "Custom", "Sunset to Sunrise", nothing changes and then I move "Color Temperature" slider nothing changes. I believe my screen is in permanent Night Shift mode, because it looks warm, but I cannot confirm this because I see that "Night Shift" settings do not affect the screen at all.

MacBook Air M1 2021 Issue Hi, I have an issue with the display on my M1 MacBook Air. When I close the lid on my MacBook and leave it set for an extended period of time, then go to open it up again, when I do so, the screen will be super dim. This can be resolved by changing the brightness of the display by one notch. so it's not a major problem but still a minor annoyance. I am currently running with release of MacOS 11.5 Big Sur. The brightness is full with "Truer Tone" and "Automatically adjust brightness" unchecked and happens whether the machine is connected to AC or not. Is this a bug?

MacBook screen dimming since installing Sonoma I used to be able to watch a YouTube video without the screen dimming. Since installing Sonoma, when on battery, the screen dims after about 30 seconds and then goes to black about 10 seconds later. Here are my display settings.

Your Night Shift settings might be on a schedule. To check this, go to System Preferences and select "Displays", then select the "Night Shift" tab.
