locating zip folder in finder
i can't seem to locate the zip folder download from google drive in finder. i have the downloads set up for 'date added', but the files are not in today's section. help!

i can't seem to locate the zip folder download from google drive in finder. i have the downloads set up for 'date added', but the files are not in today's section. help!

Download it in Safari and then use Safari's download menu and press the magnifying/location icon thingy to reveal the file in the Finder.
Chrome has some reveal option too, but I never use it as it's a battery hog.
If the zip file were downloaded into the Downloads folder and you had that folder set up with sort by Date Added, then the .zip file should appear in the upper left corner of a Finder window if using icon view, or the top item in list view. Until you double-click on the .zip file in the Finder, or unzip/gunzip it in the Terminal, it will remain a .zip file. Not all zip files will unzip to a folder if the contents were not originally zipped in a folder.
The date on the downloaded file may not have todays date associated with it.
Use Spotlight to search for the name of the file or sort the folder by file name instead.
