Cant install mac os high sierra

everytime i try to download the installation package for high sierra, an error comes saying " This copy of high sierra is damaged and ...."

This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this. "The file can't be found." on booting... Everytime I start my MacBook Pro (intel chip), I get two error message. Both say "The file can't be found". This has been happening ever since I updated to big sur. I have to click on "OK" (twice) to make them go away. Neither does it tell you what file can't be found. I just updated to Ventura 13.1 and the problem remains. As does the control strip/touch bar issue. Is Apple going downhill...SMH.

Mac stuck on checking for updates while updating macOS I'm trying update my 2017 iMac to Big Sur 11.6.4 from Big Sur 11.6.3 and all I get is a spinning wheel in "checking for updates". Is there any way to fix this [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Don't worry there is nothing wrong with it.

The error actually means that the App Store has detected a copy of Install macOS High Sierra.app

in your Applications folder. Locate it, move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.

Connect your mac to your router via cable. Restart the mac.

Open Safari, do not use Firefox,

click on the link below,

How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

Go to Section 4 and click on Get macOS High Sierra

this will redirect you to the App Store High Sierra download page,

it should now say Get or Download

rather than Open which it was saying before.

Go ahead and download it.

Do not use the mac while it is downloading or any other devices that share the same

internet connection.
