Ask to buy notification is gone

Ask to buy request has disappeared for me.

I made an in app purchase a few weeks ago, and at that time my parent had “ask to buy” enabled on my device. My parent did not approve or deny the request, but I’m trying to stop the request now, as it’s preventing me from making further in app purchases in the specific app I was buying from (when I try to access the in-game shop it shows a message along the lines of “cant purchase, waiting for pending purchase to be approved by parent”). The problem is that the notification to approve the request is no longer on my parent’s phone. Just more info: I am part of the same iCloud family that my parent is on. My parent just turned off “ask to buy” for me today, still can’t solve it. I’m on the required devices and iOS version. iOS: 13.5.1 device: iPhone XS.
