Posting URLs from YouTube

Every time I try to post a URL from YouTube, Pages automatically places the video preview in my document. I just want the URL in the text. How can I do this and avoid a video preview window from appearing?

Uncheck the options in Pages > Preferences > Adding Media

Put a period " . " before and after the URL

I found a work around. If I copy and paste from www. on, then I can paste the URL. So if I don't copy https:// then I am able to paste the URL alone as text.
