Is my AirPods’ case going to have a funeral anytime soon?

I was cleaning, and my hands were kinda full. When I was reaching for my water, the AirPod case I had in my hand dropped in the cup. I almost immediately poured the water out and threw the AirPods in some rice, I opened the case, and it seemed as the AirPods themselves weren’t wet, it was just the case. The AirPods were only in the water for a few seconds. Would this cause lasting damage or will it be okay soon?
