Notes on iPad with keyboard - Active line hidden behind formatting strip

I'm trying to use an external (Apple) keyboard with Notes.

As soon as I start typing, the active line - where I am typing - goes to the bottom of the screen, which is fine except that is where the formatting strip is, so new text is hidden behind it.

Is there a way to move the active line up - ideally to the centre of the screen, please?

In fact, the toolbar sometimes disappears after I select text to highlight. Also, the toolbar doesn’t have the plus sign and shapes that some information refers to. iPad Notes keyboard questions I just got an iPad mini 5 and both my mini 4 and 5 have ios 15.5. On my mini 5 the keyboard automatically pops up when I go to Notes. I don't want it to pop up until I press on a word or line etc. It doesn't pop up on my mini 4. I just want to scroll around and look for something but I have to turn off the keyboard all the time. Is there a setting that's different? Also now the regular keyboard shows the numbers across the top. Which is ok but how do you access them? Is there a way without tapping the 123 key? Or what's the purpose of the dim numbers and punctuations up there?

Cursor of Iphone Hey, Please, can anybody help why I cannot to put the Cursor in the beginning and in the ends of the text lines on Notes on my new Iphone 12 pro max!!? While i can do that on my iPhone 6 max, so instead of being in the place I try to put, the Cursor jump to the line under or above, and sometimes highlight a whole word, in other words, its not following my finger at all. I read other threads but not finding a relevant answer. Any suggestion please? regards

Please ignore - restarted Notes and problem has gone away.
