the update has paused, i am unable to use app application

the apple series 3 watch started to update and now is paused,,, i am unable to use the app store on either the phone or apple watch. I restarted the watch and phone and doesn't help....

I had a medical procedure on July 22 and when i left outpatient room is when it stopped,,, i don't know if that is significant to the item no longer working..

I had also downloaded the WeatherBug app and found that ,shortly thereafter it would say no server available.... i deleted the app.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about the issues you’ve been experiencing since your procedure. It’s possible you were utilizing the network at the medical facility and leaving that network caused the update to pause.


Were you able to get your Apple Watch to update? If not, try deleting the update by going to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and choosing General > Usage > Software Update and delete the update file. Then restart your iPhone and Apple Watch and try again.


Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support


If you’re still unable to open the App Store on either device make sure your device isn’t still attempting to connect to the network from the medical facility. If you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, do you see a connection? You may want to try forgetting that network and connecting to a known good Wi-Fi network.
