Poor connection to cell data with 6s

Tracfone told me Apple is aware of a connection issue with cellular connections with 6, 6 s, & 7 phones. Is this true? I've dropped from 2-3 bars to 1 maybe 2 and sometimes no signal. Everything else checks out ok.

Hi, Tracey.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about the lower cellular signal on your iPhone 6s. Reaching out to your carrier was a great troubleshooting step.

If you’re still experiencing the issue with your connection, try the steps outlined here to see if they improve your signal:

Tracey,

Great question! According to this Tracfone support page, Wi-Fi calling is supported after registering your E911 address with them, with a Wi-Fi calling SIM card.

Wi-Fi Calling - TracFone Wireless

Note that Wi-Fi Calling is a feature that allows you to use Wi-Fi to make or receive a phone call in areas with limited cellular signal. It isn't going to impact your cellular data, and only works when also connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Were you able to Reset Network Settings as outlined at the end of the article we showed you? If you were, did you notice an improvement in your cellular connection?

Take care.
