SMTP on iPhone 6

I am unable to send emails from the iPhone 6 (suddenly) but see that the apparent solution might be in SMTP settings. However on IOS 12.4.8 (the latest I can get) there is no access to SMTP. Where can I find this ?

Sending mail from iPad I have a problem with sending mail from my iPad Pro. Occasionally, and completely unpredictably, a message will not send but will be placed in the Outbox. I then get a warning box saying that mail cannot connect to the outgoing smtp mail server. This of course is balderdash, since it was connected and sent messages successfully a few seconds before, and - if I dismiss the warning and try to send a different message to a different destination - it will often succeed. So just what on earth is Apple mail up to?

Cannot Send email from my iPhone 11 Starting this morning I can no longer send emails from my aol account. I get emails fine. The user name and password is the same. I searched the web and none of the suggestions work. I cannot edit the smtp data. I do not have a VPN. I get the error "Cannot Send Mail" sender address is invalid.

Cannot send email on iOS Hi - I’m getting an error message sending emails (on both iphone and iPad so not the device that’s the problem I don’t think). Message says that the connection to the outgoing server smtp.mail.me.com failed. And that additional servers can be configured in settings. Is there another outbound mail server address that I could try? I couldn’t find one online. Many thanks chris

on my iphone with ios13 I can go to settings->password & accounts->

and click gmail, yahoo or aol or whatever of my email accounts setup and then click the account name

and then there is a group called outgoing mail server

I appreciate your response. My problem seems to be that with the iPhone 6 I can only upgrade to 12.4.8 and do not see the links to these settings. I get to the Accounts via Passwords and Accounts and there are no more options for SMTP settings.
