My iPad Pro Bluetooth is stuck trying to connect to other devices. Won’t connect to earbuds. I can’t cancel out of the trying to connect.

I can’t escape in Bluetooth which is trying to connect to other devices. I think that is why I can’t connect to my earbuds.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 13

Hello,

Try resetting iPad's network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.

Actually, you will see Bluetooth always spinning and scanning for available devices. This is not likely the root cause of your issue connecting to your earbuds. The most likely issue with earbuds can be:

  1. You don't have them in pairing mode per the manufacturers instructions
  2. They are already paired to another device, which is powered on and nearby
  3. If they are paired with another device, they may not be able to be paired to more than one device

Are any of these applicable to you?
