Water Damaged iPhone 6 Reset?

Is it possible to clear or reset any information from an iPhone 6S that isn't working? Dropped in a pool and will not turn on. Don't want to have it get repaired by someone and then they have access to any of my information.

No, when it is broken there is no way to access anything on the phone.
