Unable to update apps on app store

I was using different Apple ID in the beginning.

That was live.com

I decided to use iCloud mail address as my Apple ID

Whenever I try to update anything from my MacBook Air, only the old id is auto filled.

I remove that every time and type the new Apple ID

But after entering the password of new Apple ID, the app is not installed and again login is asked with old id auto filled.

Now I just went to recovery and reinstalled Catalina.

Nothing changed.

I want to install fresh copy of Mac by deleting everything

Is that possible?

Or can we fix it without deleting the Mac itself?

I want to update Xcode. But it is not happening

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

A request for another Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the other ID. Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
