Can I use another cloud storage for my device besides iCloud?

I have run out of iCloud storage on my iPad can I use my verizon storage or my cloud storage with google?

iPad, iOS 9

Two things to try to stop the message:

Free up some space if you can: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Turn off iCloud Backup if you don't want to use it: Settings > [username] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > iCloud Backup - off.

I'm not familiar with Verizon storage but you can use Google Drive and/or Google Photos.

Another option is Microsoft OneDrive.

Note that they will not work for some things such as iCloud Backup.

This was helpful as I was able to back up my contacts and photos onto google. I am still getting an error message telling me that my device can't back up because I am out of storage. Can I change my storage location altogether to google?
