I have a new iPad that I bought a week ago, and now it’s heating up near the speakers whenever I use my Apple Pencil. And when I play audio, when I turn the volume above 50%, it becomes static and glitchy. I wonder if the overheated processer burned the speaker and caused this issue? And should I take the iPad to the Apple store for repair?

Given that it’s only a week old it can’t hurt to take it in. I’m not sure which apple stores are open due to COVID but there may be an authorized service provider near you.
