I have an iphone 8 plus running the latest iOS software. I noticed last week that when I try to record a video it sounds muffled and the audio goes in and out. I checked on the voice memo app and it's crystal clear on there as well as snapchat, instagram, etc. It only occurs when i'm trying to take a video with my iphone. Suggestions? I have followed this article with no success.

You’ve done some great steps so far by using the article specifically for microphone issues. Since you mentioned that you tried using this on other apps and it doesn’t occur, did you try making a FaceTime call and use both the front and back cameras to see if the same thing occurs?

If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working
Clear the microphones
When recording or making a FaceTime call to someone else, the microphone in use will depend on the camera that is active.
If you have done that troubleshooting, we’d recommend that you Contact Apple Support.

Thank you for the reply. I did follow those steps as well as remove my case. I did just try a face-time call and the person on the other end could hear me out of both cameras. I had Apple Support run a diagnostic and everything came back fine. I'm wondering if it's a software issue, I just don't want to restore my phone.
