fade tool not working !!

I am using version 10.5.0 when I try to apply the fade tool on an audio region ,it works but on software instrument, there’s not even fade tool icon change, it just grabs the region and moves it around just like if I had the pointer tool selected.

Audio regions moving when trimming and dragging? I have the most annoying bug which has just started to occur. Whenever I drag to change the audio region size it then jumps to the left or right the amount that I've trimmed off?? This is literally making Logic Pro X useless and I have an album which is due to be completed by the end of the month and I would really like it if someone could tell me a fix if they know of it? I can't change the software instrument from the plug-ins tab whenever I hover over the instrument name under the plug-ins tab it doesn't show the arrows that I need to see before adding any samples to that instrument. Is there any reason why it's doing this??

"Playback" plugin not playing AIFF file I've loaded an AIFF file that works in the actual "Playback" plugin (e.g. when I hit the Play button on the plugin itself). But frustratingly, it will not play in the main Perform section. The little wave form window does not advance; no sound comes up; nothing. I am at my wit's end, as there doesn't seem to be any reason why this should be happening. Please help, thanks!

You can’t fade an instrument track. Use midi automation or bounce to audio and fade.
