Memoji Contact Photo

Hi. I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an SE 2nd Gen and with that came the upgrade to iOS 13. The first time I went to send a text, after upgrading, to a friend of mine who was already using iOS 13, a little banner popped up at the top of the message app that asked if I wanted to use the Memoji my friend created of himself as the profile picture in his contact on my phone. I accidentally tapped ‘No’ but now I’ve decided I do want to use the Memoji he made and shared instead of having to make one myself for his contact photo.

Is there any way I can get his Memoji back and use it as the photo for his contact? I couldn’t find a way other than making it myself or having him send it to me, but I’d rather not do either of those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Otravels,

It sounds like you chose to not add your friend's Memoji and now you want to add the Memoji to their contact card. This prompt will automatically ask again once they update their information, otherwise you could ask them to send you their Memoji and you can save the image as their contact photo. Cheers!
