Hi Sweettool,

Thanks for reaching out. Sounds like your AirPods are intermittently disconnected from your device do we have that right? Is the device that your AirPods are paired to up to date?

Check out how to update your iPhone, iPad or iPod here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you're using a Mac, you can update it using the steps here: Update the software on your Mac.

Also, check the firmware on your AirPods. You can find this information on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > About > AirPods. Be sure your AirPods are currently connected or you may not see this option. The latest firmware for each generation is as follows: AirPods Pro: 2D27, AirPods ( 1st generation): 6.8.8 and AirPods ( 2nd generation): 2D15.

If you are not seeing one of these versions you'll want to make sure your paired device's software is up to date, and then do the following steps:

  1. Listen to music or other audio content with the AirPods for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Put the AirPods back in the charging case and close the lid.
  3. Use the Lightning cable to connect the charging case to power. Wait 30 minutes. Then reconnect the AirPods to the iOS or iPad device that they are paired to.
