Can I get rid of MEMORIES?
How can I get rid of the "Memories" feature on my iPhone? Apple created and sent unsolicited photos to my husband with Memories. We share an iCloud Photos account.

Thank you, but I think I should have the option of opting out of receiving Apple's "Memories" in favor of my own.
The same Apple ID is going to cause issues now and into the future, as a shared ID is considered the same user; one Apple ID, one owner, one identity.
Notifications will be misrouted, two-factor authentication will be misrouted, etc.
The mechanism available to share purchases and media and calendars is Family Sharing.

So much for your “solicitation” remark.
Your husband owns access to all iCloud photos. No solicitation is required to group some of those photos into memories for him.
You cannot turn off the entire feature however you can turn off the feature notification. Here is how-
Open Settings ➔ Notifications ➔ Photos ➔ Memories - Set Allow Notifications to OFF.
You and Your husband are better off without sharing the same Apple ID. That is my recommendation.

You are welcome.
