iWatch Series 4 Cellular Battery Drain
Alright guys and gals. I'm here begging for your help.
I have an Apple Watch Series 4 with GPS + Cellular from Verizon. It has incredible battery drain. I put it on around 5:50 AM and it's dead by noon every single day.
Here is what I have attempted so far:
- Update to latest patch
- Let it completely drain then fully charge
- Factory reset with backup
- Factory reset without backup
- Unpair and pair again
- Reduce screen brightness, sound
- Turn off cellular
- Turn off WiFi
- Almost no applications send push notifications
As someone that literally only uses the watch to check the time I have zero idea why it's draining so fast. This has been going on for a few months now.
I do not have insurance on it through Verizon. I do not have AppleCare+. The one year was up on July 11th. I tried to get in sooner but I work 80+ hour weeks and then COVID happened. I contacted Apple a few weeks ago through chat and the representative wanted to put something on my watch to troubleshoot it but the watch was dead when I was in the chat with no way to charge it. I cannot for the life of me seem to find where I found that at.
Fun fact: I am also a victim of the iPhone X ghost screen recall (which I have yet had time to fix) AND the butterfly keyboard debacle. Just between my watch and iPhone I have $1500 of Apple products where neither one lasted a year without issue. If I start to think about my Macbook again I might go into cardiac arrest. Can someone, anyone, please help me before I dump these Apple products in the garbage?
