My Imessage and Icloud accound are different.

I am unable to facetime or Imessage anyone. When I go into settings and try to toggle on Imessage or facetime it says "Imessage activation error, turn on to try again," after I turn both of them on it turns them off. I have tried signing out of my account and signing back in again but that doesn't work either. I am signed in with my Apple ID on my phone, and under my Apple ID it says reachable at... and my phone number is listed. I have no idea how to fix this.

Messages - If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime.

Messages Troubleshooting.

Some other things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

Reset Device.

If necessary

Hard reset.

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.

Restore to Factory setting.

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
