Apple Photos not syncing Photos... iOS 10.13.6 Again...

Dear community, don't know, if I'm am so lucky, or Apple after 10 Years of clouding can't manage it.

It every time the same thing. I reinstalled on a formatted disk iOS 10.13.6, configured it, Photos loads and syncs for 2-3 Month, and now always the same frustrating thing.

You Open Photos, and the new Pics are not syncing. (Sleeped with a Mac Pro in the same room for 6 hours, thats why I'm not good today)

What i'have done:

Your repair the Database on start... Yes

Your restarted iOS... Yes

You updated to the last version... Yes

your disabled and reenabled the Photo Library... Yes

your tried to change Network... Yes

You created a new Photos Library and restarted... Yes

.. but nothing. App Photos starts and you see only Updating...

No activity in Network, only a few MB, and enter in the console, and the situation is like on Windows Event viewer... full of errors Like:

  • Unable to get cached status information configuration client state 2
  • AEGetDescData of non-desc type 'reco' not a good idea

I'm very frustrating. I'm paying the iCloud 200GB for not having problems, and now I'm in the same situation.

Not want to hear, you have to update to Mojave, or Catalina. This service is not viable anymore, because than this is time to sa goodby. I have many Macs, and this is the biggest one. Mac Pro wit 49GB Ram, xeon, SSD, ATI RX 580 (Upgrade suggested by Apple -> NO Hackintosh) and it's not working.

Steve, where are you?

Please Help

Thanks for your answer, here my comments:

Something you might try is to log in to your Apple ID through icloud.com. Once logged in click on the photos icon and you should be able to at least see what iCloud Photos currently has in the cloud:

Thanks, I know what I have in my cloud, because I see it on my iPhone ;)

You might also want to verify that the Photos app is using iCloud Photos under Photos > Preferences > iCloud, or if something like My Photo Stream is checked instead:

Done.

Additionally, you might want to take a look at what devices your Apple ID is logged into, and whether or not you are no longer using any of those devices, which might be causing syncing issues.

1x iPhone 7 -> Working ok

1x MacBook Pro with 10.13.6 -> Working ok

1x Mac Pro with 10.13.6 -> not syncing

1x iPad 3 Generation -> don't know

Finally, you can check that your current Photo's library is your "System Photo Library" by holding down the option key before launching the Photos app.

Done (see above)

Thanks a lot.

Finally, you can check that your current Photo's library is your "System Photo Library" by holding down the option key before launching the Photos app. The option key will work whether you launch Photos from the Applications folder or by using Launchpad or from the dock. What should happen next is a small window will appear titled "Choose Library". To my understanding, iCloud photos will only sync to a Photos library that is marked "System Photo Library" on a mac. Photos can create and use different Photos Libraries, but there can be only one "System Photo Library". So if a person's current Photo library is not marked as the "System Photo Library" and they try to sync to iCloud Photos all kinds of strange things seems to happen.
