Boot camp Not Working

Hello anyone generous enough to reply,

I have one of the recent MacBook Airs. I had to install windows for AutoDesk Inventor that is something I need. I downloaded the 64-Bit Microsoft thing, which I then chose to open the BootCamp thing on as I was guided. When I opened it up I went through everything and when a Microsoft Windows started up and after I had finished all the requirements, options, languages etc and I was in the home screen of Windows Microsoft, bootcamp had come up telling me to continue along with finishing the installation. Now the whole window did not show as I had seen in YouTube videos, and no matter what I did the rest of the bootcamp window would not show, and out of frustration I think I closed the bootcamp window. Now I do not know how to get back to Mac and have tried holding down the option key on the left and right and both for long. It will not work, please somebody tell me how to get back.

No need it is all fine now. Turns out I was holding option while it was on and not while it was restarting, silly me. Thank you so much whoever you are, in your endeavours of helping me.

Nice.

Brigadier (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier) will let you download BC drivers package for your Mac, that you can install. Once the Windows Support Software is installed, you can test the Restart in macOS option.

Brigadier will provide a zip file, which contains the drivers for your Mac model, by default. If you UnZip it and run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder, it should install the drivers and allow you to switch.

We are trying to Download and install Windows support software on your Mac - Apple Support from the Windows side, not from the macOS side.

I have just tried it and it does not work, I did it just now multiple times and it starts recording on microphone as a game clip. Anything else, that might make it switch back to MacOS, if nothing does work I am planning to head to my school’s IT department tomorrow.

I have tried the Alt/Option method, it does not work. I am not sure what the SMC and NVRAM Reset is?

I tried both several times following strict instructions. Both times, either it did not do anything or it started back up on the Windows platform and not Apple.

If you mean it starts up properly and successfully functions as it is meant to as if it were a proper Microsoft computer, yes it does whenever I try to restart it.

What is the BC driver’s package, also how can I install it on Mac if I’m currently on Windows, as in Windows is currently running and has taken over my laptop.
