My 2019 Macbook pro 15" is overheating during a mild summer, is it normal?

I had no heating issues with my old 2011 Macbook pro paid half the price of this new model. It is very uncomfortable to work on it as it overheats quickly. And during the summer, it is just unbearable. Being a musician and a DJ, I'm afraid to take it and use it to its full potential for hours during a hot summer day. What are the risks? I don't understand Apple anymore. $3000 laptops should be made for professional engineers and designers, not for netflix users. We don't need slimmer laptops, we need reliable ones under all circumstances and in every environment, even under extreme weather, just like the old models.

Has any pro musician/dj found a solution for this heating issue?

Thanks.
