I have paired my Mac with a HomePod.
Whenever I am on Audio conferencing apps such as teams, people complain that they hear an echo. I noticed that the inbuilt microphone is picking up the output of the HomePod.
Any way to work around this?

I don't think so. Apart from anything else there is quite a delay when audio is routed to HomePod which probably doesn't help with any noise-cancelling features that the app might already have. I use AirPods which work great because there is no potential for feedback.

Just for clarity, when I said paired, I meant I am using the HomePod as the output speaker for my iMac
Thank you @turingtest2. I do have a beats wireless which works very well too. So yeah, the lag is probably what is causing the issue and I would just need to use the HomePod
