how do i back up iMac and MacbookAir?

I can not get my time machine to work for back up on iMac or MacBookAir what am I doing wrong?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

it open up with airport and thats all I get I don't see where I can select my drive or type it in

In System Prefs>Time Machine, can you Select Disk there?
