I noticed this a couple days ago and I think I possibly narrowed it down to my Cricut Design Space app/program. When I upload an image into the app, that’s when the random folder pops up on my desktop. I delete it, and it pops up again after I use the same app again. The folder contents are Native > Logs > PathOperation. I’ve used other programs on my MBP and so far only this app has caused this issue. This sure is annoying :(

Does this occur for a different user, e.g., Guest? How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.
Does this occur after starting up in Safe Mode?
Consider the possibility of a third party software conflict. EtreCheck can be used to investigate what is installed. You can post the report here. Someone might spot something.
I too recently started using design space on my MBP. I am not a certified computer tech but worked in it for 10 plus years. Here are the steps I used (with help from my PC tech buddies) and it worked for me. Please be careful of where you are downloading the apps from and if you are unsure research.
Its been about 2days now and the folder HAS NOT popped back up. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the information Callmelaycee. I downloaded the apps and ran through everything like you mentioned in your post. Unfortunately, when I restarted in safe mode, opened up my Design Space and attempted to upload an image into the program; that **** folder popped up again.
Since this clearly seems to be a Design Space issue, I’m hoping Cricut will have some sort of fix for it soon 🤞🏼
I think you guys are right, i've noticed this popping up on my desktop lately too. The Cricut Design Space just recently had an upgrade roll out and it's been since that upgrade and after using design space that I see that folder pop up. I hope they find a way to correct that bug. Annoying!!
I am having this same issue. When I open Cricut Design Space and upload an image, a folder called "Native" pops up on my desktop. I'm not sure if this is a Mac issue or a Cricut Design Space issue. I am also going to post an inquiry on their forum as well.
OMG! I never paid attention to whether or not it was happening with Cricut Design Space! I did use it the other day and there is that annoying folder on my desktop! I'm glad to hear that this is happening to other people though I wish there was a fix!
I am having the exact same issue! However, I didn't know what was causing it. So I did a test run of a Cricut Design Space upload and sure enough, that folder reappeared. I've been using DS for well over a year, with this same MacBook Air and have never had this issue until a few weeks ago. Incredibly frustrating as I'm neurotic and like a clean Desktop.
I just had the Native folder show up in my desktop as well. Same as Roxygirly81 I have just started using the Cricut Design Space.
I have the same question!!
I also have the same question!
This is happening for me as well.
I am the only user on my macbook.
There is no guest profile.
It just appeared one day. Will try etrecheck
I also have this problem, ran Malwarebytes & EtreCheck, and it was not decided on either program.
SAME! I'm actually calling Apple Support right now for help!
One day this file folder named Native just appeared on my desktop. I never created this folder and there appears to be nothing in it.
